I have a 2002 Linc Nav vin# 5LMEU27R22LJ17468. I have smelled gas for months around the vehicle. I took it to two ford dealers and they could not find the problem. I took it to a automotive repair shop, they dropped the take and found that it was comming apart at the front seam (spliting open). Is there a recall on this type of problem, and why did it split? The auto shop is replacing it with a used tank that is still costly. I think the tank was defective. pls respond ASAP
