Although I jammed my foot onto the brake I could not stop the car. I finally stopped when I crashed into the building at the end of the driveway .The car now went into reverse when I bounced off the building at which time I threw the shift into park. The airbag did not deploy This car is 2 months old and in the first week of driving with cruise control at 65mph the car took off by itself up to 85-90, when I stepped on the brake it would not release.I had to manually shut off cruise control. Went back to dealer and they made some kind of adjustment.
