VA hires incompetent physicians and staff and then hides (ignores) their errors. The medical error and complication rates at the VA are significnatly higher than reported for the same reasons. When malpractice is claimed by patients the VA buys the patient off (much like people injured visiting Disney World). Anyone who cites the VA as a model for health care should never be taken seriously. Why is anyone surprised at yet another example of poor medical care in the VA system ?
