H-E-B has announced a recall of its entire H-E-B Baby Food and Mom’s Organic Choice product lines. As of this afternoon, all H-E-B baby food and Mom’s Organic Choice product lines was removed from shelves because there have been consumer reports of pieces of glass being found inside the baby food jars of H-E-B peas, carrots and applesauce.
According to H-E-B, there have been no reports of injuries linked to the incidents to date.
Although the reports of glass have been isolated to just a few products in the H-E-B baby food and Mom’s Organic Choice line, the company has decided to “pull all of our H-E-B baby food and Mom’s Organic Choice products from our shelves.”
The company intends to launch a full investigation into the incidents and plans on working closely with its food suppliers to make sure that all safety measures are being taken when manufacturing the product.
The company encourages consumers who have purchased any H-E-B baby food and/or Mom’s Organic Choice to take it to their nearest H-E-B store for a full refund.
