Frigidaire, of Cleveland, Ohio just issued a recall for about 35,000 Crosley®, Frigidaire®, Kelvinator®, Kenmore®, Wascomat®, and White-Westinghouse® clothes washers the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) just announced. The recall was initiated because an internal defect in the washer’s drain pump can cause heat to build up, posing a fire hazard to the consumer. To date, no incidents or injuries have been reported.
The Frigidaire recall involves the Crosley®, Frigidaire®, Kelvinator®, Kenmore®, Wascomat®, and White-Westinghouse® in top load washers, 3.1 cubic foot front load washers, and laundry centers in the following model and serial numbers.
