Defective power steering hose prompts recall on 600,000 Honda Accords

Honda has issued a recall on its popular Accord sedan because a faulty power steering hose could cause fluid to leak and start a fire.

According to an Associated Press report, the recall involves 600,000 Honda Accords. A defective power steering hose is to blame for the recall. It is prone to leaking fluid, which can start a fire and potentially lead to a crash and serious injuries. The action is limited to model years between 2003 and 2007 and those with V-6 engines. The automobile manufacturer is aware of at least one fire caused by this defect but no injuries or crashes as a result.
