Farm Glass and Metal Spiral Tea Light Holder RecalledAbout 6,200 Farm Glass and Metal Spiral Tea Light Holders are being recalled for fire hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) just announced.

The recalled Farm Glass & Metal Spiral Tea Light Holders were manufactured in China; imported by the Nantucket Distributing Co., Inc. of Middleboro, Massachusetts; and sold at Christmas Tree Shops in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest from July 2011 through March 2012.

The retailer of the recalled tea light holders is Christmas Tree Shops of Union, New Jersey and the defective Farm Glass & Metal Spiral Tea Light Holders sold for $5.00.

Due to the design of the product, the recalled Farm Glass & Metal Spiral Tea Light Holders can burn with a high flame, which poses a fire hazard to consumers. To date, Christmas Tree Shops has received one report of a tea light burning with a high flame that resulted in a burn to a consumer’s hand.

This recall involves a decorative spiral tea light holder that is made from a painted glass with a red, orange, and green floral design. A spiral-shaped metal insert for holding three tea lights is placed within the glass container. The SKU/UPC number, 000015931955, is located on a label that can be found on the bottom of the glass.

Christmas Tree Shops advises consumers to stop using the recalled Farm Glass & Metal Spiral Tea Light Holder and return it to any Christmas Tree Shops store to receive a full refund.
