Voltaire Swivel Chairs Recalled for Fall Hazard

About 750 830B and 830D <"http://www.yourlawyer.com/practice_areas/product_liability">Voltaire Swivel Chairs are being recalled by Brunswick Bowling & Billiards Corporation due to fall hazard, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) just announced.

The recalled Brunswick Bowling & Billiards Swivel Chairs were manufactured in the United States and distributed by Brunswick Bowling & Billiards Corp., of Lake Forest, Illinois.

The recalled Brunswick Bowling & Billiards Swivel Chairs frame can separate from the seating section of the chair, posing a fall hazard to consumers. To date, Brunswick has received one report of frame separation. No injuries have been reported.

This recall involves swivel chairs with a steel frame attached with wooden backrest and a wooden seat. The chairs are identified as model numbers 830B and 830D and were sold by Brunswick distributors to bowling centers nationwide from May 2008 through December 2008 for about $200. These products were not sold at retail.

The CPSC is advising consumers to immediately stop using the recalled Voltaire Swivel chairs and contact Brunswick to arrange a free replacement. All known purchasers have been notified. Brunswick Warranty Department can be reached toll-free at (800) 937-2695 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday or at the company’s website at www.brunswickbowling.com.
